A mammoth crowd said to be unprecedented in Mbieri, Mbaitoli local governmentImoStatepenultimate Saturday turned out at the Orie Mbieri Market square for a grand civic reception of their son, Prince Eze Madumere, KSC, and the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Imo State.
The Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha was so impressed with the turn out that he affirmed that his Chief of Staff is an embodiment of humility, steadfastness, obedience, care and love which have endeared him to his people.
Narrating his close ties with him, the governor disclosed that Prince Eze Madumere had faithfully worked with him for over 20 years recalling that he had contested for series of elections earlier and did not go through but Madumere stuck with him even when many of his friends, associates and aides deserted him. According to him; “because of Madumere, your worthy son, Mbieri people are inside and outside this government” assuring that their genuine requests shall be favourably considered once they are passed through Madumere”.
He called on youths to retrain from anti-social activities promising that his government would establish 21 new industries in the state to alleviate unemployment.
Governor Okorocha assured that after the on-going road projects in the State, that priority would be laid on Agriculture and urged every citizen of the state to plant atleast five palm seedlings to replace the old ones.
One of the highlights the conferment on Prince Eze Madumere the title of Ogbuhuruzo of Mbieri by the traditional rulers of Mbieri Autonomous Communities.
In his remarks earlier, the Chief of Staff said he had always prayed to God for the blessings of wisdom and resources to serve as an agent of peace.
He challenged today’s youths to follow the path of honour to make them victorious.
He called on those he refrain to as war mongers to become emmissaries of peace and to convert to unifiers.
