ImoStategovernor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha recently travelled overseas to make necessary contacts for foreign investors on agriculture to boost job opportunities in the state.
The governor who has made no secret of his vision of agriculture as the bedrock of the state’s economy, told journalists at the Imo Airport that “agriculture for all is the only way to go and the only hope for Imo State”.
He disclosed that his foreign trip will take him toSwitzerlandand Kosovo where he would attend a business forum and meet investors in agricultural ventures.
Governor Okorocha observed that the neglect of agriculture has left the rural areas depressed and deserted and urged communities inImoStateto embark on projects that will generate money to make the rural areas boom again.
He therefore called on civil servants in the state to embrace the fourth tier government with a view to vitalizing the agricultural sector.
