Christian mothers in the Diocese of Oru have been challenged to arise and build theChurchofGodin the Diocese.
The Bishop of the Diocese, the Right Reverend Geoffrey Chukwunenye (PhD) threw the challenge while preaching during the thanksgiving service at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Mgbidi as part of the closing ceremonies for the fourth annual women Conference of the Diocese.
The Right Reverend Chukwunenye called attention to women of
virtue in the bible and remarked that women had continued to be
pillars of faith in theChurchofGodeven in the Diocese of Oru.
Bishop Chukwunenye who drew his message from Ezra 1:2-4 urged Stfomen in the Diocese not to relent in their effort to support the work of evangelism in the area.
The wife of the Bishop and President of women and Girls Ministry of
ifie Diocese, Mrs. Joy Chukwunenye extolled women in the Diocese for their contribution to build new Diocese.
Mrs. Chukwunenye expressed satisfaction at the success of this gear’s conference and commended both the host Archdeaconry- the
Cathedral group of Churches and the delegates for their peaceful
conduct during the conference.
The administrator of the Cathedral, Reverend Canon Lawrence rkegwuonu and his wife thanked God for the success of the conference and commended the Cathedral group of Churches for their support.
The Highlight of the three day conference was the presentation and launching of the Presidential address.
