In furtherance of the agricultural revoltuon of the present dispensation inImoState, a legislator in the State House of Assembly has called on his constituents to make avaiable enough land for commercial agriculture.
The lawmaker, Chief Chino Obioha, made the appeal when the presidents general of town unions in his constituency, Njaba, paid him a solidarity visit at the Assembly Complex, New Owerri.
He commended them for providing land for the 500 housing units, a mini-stadium and guest houses. He expressed joy that theNjaba GeneralHospitalis now under construction.
According to him, more than 14 model primary schools would be built to ensure that they sustain unalloyed support for the community government council system being introduced for accelerated development of all communities in the state.
The lawmaker disclosed that he would institute an empowerment programme for the less privileged citizens and blind students in Njaba, adding that he would ensure that all projects mapped out for Njaba come to fruition.
Earlier, the former Chairman of the presidents-general of town unions, Chief John Nmeka, on behalf of the delegates, presented a copy of the Holy Bible to the legislator.
Speaking also, the chairman of presidents-general of town unions in Njaba, Chief E.C. Igbojekwe, announced a vote of confidence on both Gov. Okorocha and Chief Obioha by the people of Njaba for the various development projects being executed in the area.
