FRSC boss stresses safe driving during rainy season

The Imo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is planning an aggressive sensitization of motorists on the need to drive carefully during the raining season.

Speaking to his men at the monthly sector operators meeting with the commanders, the Sector Commander Imo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Cmdr AA. Kumapayi, alerted motorists on the danger of driving during the rainy season without functional safety devices in their vehicles.

He said that he programme would be carried out at the motor parks, schools, churches, mosques and so on, with the aim of educating motorists on safety tips and the need to drive carefully this period.

The Sector Commander urged motorists to ensure that windscreen wipers and head lamps are functional and to pull off the road when there is poor visibility as a result of heavy down pour.

Cmdr Kumapayi warned motorists not to endanger the lives of their passengers during this rainy period by driving vehicles with malfunctioned safety devices.
