Gov ties salaries to return of CGC forms

Only civil servants inImoStatewho have returned their forms for the community government council (CGC) will be paid their salaries henceforth.

The Imo State Governor, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, made this known at the seminar to train traditional rulers on parliamentary procedures in preparation for the inauguration of the traditional parliament in the state.

The governor, who expressed that his government was resolute in implementing the fourth tier government, said that it was to enhance democracy and for rapid community development.

He, therefore, charged the traditional rulers to work hard to ensure that the establishment of the traditional parliament restores the dignity of Igbo people.

Various dignitaries gave talks on the workings of government at the seminar.

Senator Osita Izunaso who lectured the traditional rulers on the rudiments of the parliament commended the governor for the vision which he described as a  sure way of implementing the bottom to top approach to governance.

According to him, the approach helps the government to feel the pulse of the masses.
