The Igbo Youth Movement (IYM) which claims to have seriously canvassed for the election of Dr Goodluck Jonathan as President might have scored the President’s first year in office low.
Speaking to journalists in Enugu on the President’s one year in office, the National President of IYM, Evangelist Elliot Uko described the period as one year of “only motion, no movement”.
He further said; “the truth must be said that it has been one year of promises and promises”.
Evangelist Uko claimed that members of his group are not sycophants hence they would always tell the President the truth.
He said that Nigerians were still waiting for the transformation the president had assured Nigerians and challenged him to buckle up.
“We want things to begin to work, we want killings to stop; we want him to fight corruption, we want him to bring to book all corrupt officers because the kind of corruption we hear today is frightening. A former Senate President was removed over N50 million naira fraud but today people steal trillions”, he further submitted.
