Bishop Chukwunenye clocks 51

The Vicar of Holy Trinity Church Obibi Awo-Omamma in Oru – East Local Government Area, the Reverend Fort Edward says no man can ever succeed without receiving help from God.

The Reverend Edward was delivering a sermon at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Mgbidi in Oru – West LGA during a special thanksgiving service to mark the 51sl birthday anniversary ceremony of the Bishop of the Diocese of Oru, the Right Reverend Geoffrey Chukwunenye, PhD.

The clergyman urged Christians to live a faithful and worthy life style and to trust God to reward their good effort.

He commended the exceptional manner in which Bishop Chukwunenye has piloted the affairs of the Diocese of Oru since inception in 2008 and prayed God to continue to grant him good health, long life and greater wisdom to run the Diocese.

The Right Reverend Geoffrey Chukwunenye in his testimony thanked God for the sustenance of his life and his ministry especially in the last one year.

Dr Chukwunenye also thanked his numerous guests for the honour of their presence and prayed God to grant them journey mercy as they returned to their destinations.

The occasion was attended by the clergy and their wives from within and outside the Diocese, members of the Diocesan Board including the Assistant Registrar of the Diocese of Oru, Sir Chudi Onuzo, some Knights and their ladies as well as many parishioners.

The highlights of the occasion were the free medical treatment organized for the public by the Bishop’s family and the cutting of the anniversary cake.
