Okorocha declares war on kidnappers

Imo State governor ,Owelle Rochas Okorocha has stated that his administration would take a decisive action to ensure that kidnapping becomes a thing of the past in the state.

Governor Okorocha who stated this while swearing in the six newly appointed commissioners, stated it clearly that “time is up for kidnappers” as government would henceforth adopt fire-for-fire approach to end the menace.

The governor, however, urged the new commissioners to queue into the vision of his administration by imbibing the spirit of rescue mission that translate to hardwork.

He urged them to shun corruption and laziness, warning that his administration would not condone corrupt practices by any government official.

The new commissioners are Hon Chinedu Offor, Information & Strategy; Ichie Best Mbanaso, Commerce and Industry; Prince Charles Onuoha, Housing; Barr Ugochi Nnanna- Okoro, Culture & Tourism; Barr Emma Ekweremba, Petroleum and Professor Chima Iwuchukwu, Ministry of Public Utilities.
