Ohaji/Egbema Diocesan Synod ends today

The four-day diocesan Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Ohaji/Egbema for 2012, will be rounded off today with a thanksgiving service at the venue, St. Mathew’s (Ang) Church, Etekwuru.

The Second Session of the First Synod has the theme; “The challenge of mission and development in unpredictable and volatile environment such as ours”.

The synod commenced last Thursday with the traditional courtesy call on selected stake-holders in the host-community while the synod proceedings commenced formally last Friday.

But the main feature of the Synod was the presentation and launching of the Bishop’s charge yesterday followed by the launching of the diocesan projects.

Meanwhile, the venue of he Synod, St. Matthew’s Church, Etekwuru has benefited from hosting the event as some structures have been refurbished while Etekwuru community at large has gained from the increased economic activities for the four days the synod lasted.
