Ikeduru rounds off today with thanksgiving

The first session of the Second Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru will be rounded off today with a special thanksgiving service at the Holy Trinity (Ang) Church Iho in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.

The Synod which kicked off last Thursday featured a wide range of activities including courtesy calls on important personalities in the area, presentation of reports by Archdeaconries and parastatals in the Diocese and the Bishop’s presidential address. Highlights of today’s corporate service which is expected to attract dignities from all over the country include fund raising for the building of a new cathedral for the Diocese and thanksgiving.

The Lord Bishop of Ikeduru Diocese, Rt. Rev. Emma Maduwike will conduct the special service.

The theme of this year’s Synod is; “This God, Invincible and Ever faithful”

And from Diocese on the Lake comes another report that the Diocesan Synod which kicked off on Saturday will end on Tuesday. The Bishop’s Presidential Address will be read tomorrow, Monday October 15, 2012. the Synod thanksgiving service is scheduled for today at Egbuoma, the venue of the Synod.
