All is now set for the burial of the late traditional ruler of Uzoagba autonomous community, in the Ikeduru local government area of Imo State, H.R.M, Eze Alphonsus Obinna I. Dabrinze.
The monarch who passed on recently at the age of 77years, after a protracted illness was “DURUAKU THE III” of his ancestral clan.
According to Prince Tochukwu, one of the sons of the late Eze, the remains of the late monarch would be interred on Friday, December 7, 2012 at his ancestral home, Umueziogwu Uzoagba, after a funeral service at St. Andrew’s (Anglican) Church Uzoagba.
The late monarch ascended the throne in 1984 and later resigned from the First Bank of Nigeria Plc as a manager in 1994. He was a member of the team for classification of traditional rulers, a member of the Imo State Council of Ndi Eze, member, Financial and General purpose of Imo State council of traditional rulers, as well as Patron, Owerri zone and Ikeduru council of Ndi Eze.
He was also a knight of St. Christopher, a member of Diocesan Board and Clergy welfare, Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru, and others.
Other rites of passage for the late Eze include; sing song by members of the Holy Order of Knights and Dame of St. Christopher, commendation service at the Cathedral Church of St. Matthew Atta, and sing song by the parishioners in the Uzoagba Parish.
The late Eze A.O. Dabrinze was survived by his wife Ugoeze Agnes Dabrinze and eight children.
