Biafra Vs FG suit Judge lambasts govt’s attorneys, fixes hearing for Wed

Hearing begins Wednesday, January 16, in a suit filed by Biafra activists against the Federal Government at the Federal High court in Owerri presided over by Justice S.M. Shaibu.

A London-based Attorney at law, Barr. Emeka Adolf, is leading the team of lawyers for the Bilie Human Rights Initiative that brought the suit before the court.

Justice Shaibu who chose the date for hearing expressed anger that the attorneys for the federal government had not put up appearance since the matter was brought before his court.

He said that he had adjourned the matter two times and warned that he would go ahead on the matter on January 16 even if the defendants failed to put up appearance.

The group is seeking for the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra through the court.
