Imo takes war on cultism to secondary schools By Chinasa Ogbonna

With cultism ravaging post primary institutions in Imo State, the State Government has taken tough action against the malaise as culprits will be expelled from school.

Besides, such students would not be re-admitted in any secondary school in the state.

The decision was reached after a recent meeting of the state executive council and the Commissioning for Information and Tourism, Hon. Chinedu Offor told journalists that the ‘incident of cultism not in universities, but in secondary schools, is rampaging”.

He said secondary schools in the state have become breeding ground for cultists “who graduate to become social menace in the society”.

Hon. Offor challenged parents to scrutinize their children and wards to ensure they are not cultists warning that any student caught in the act would be arrested, expelled from school and would never be admitted in any school in the state.
