Oru Diocesan synod kicks of May 9 at Otulu

Arrangements have been concluded for the convocation of the second session of the second synod of the Diocese of Oru, Anglican Communion, by the Bishop, the right Reverend Geoffrey Chukwuenenye, PhD at St Stephen’s Church, Otulu in Oru west Local Government Area on May 9, 2013.

The theme of the synod is “raising God’s Altar in the land, Gideon example” (Judges 6: 24). St. Stephen’s Otulu has been lavishly decorated that it now wears an impressive look.

The host communities of Otulu, Amiri and Umulu Umuezem (non Anglicans inclusive) have also been sensitized by the planning committees that they now look forward to the great event.

After a facility tour of St. Stephen’s, Otulu by the Central Planning Committee, the Chairman, Sir Bonny Nwoha commended members of the Local Organizing Committee for their diligence and commitment to the synod assignments.

Sir Bonny felicited with the Diocesan, the Right Rev. Geoffrey Chukwunenye and his wife, Joy (Mama Oru) as he invites his brother Bishops, from across the country, the diocesan board, the diocesan legal team led by the Chancellor Barr. Innocent Oguaju Dike, the Council of Knights Diocese of Oru led by the president, Dr. Emma Anayo Odunze(KSC) and their ladies as well as the distinguished delegates and every other personality on our honours list to witness the convocation of the synod.

The synod will end on Sunday May 12, 2013.
