Govt to bulldoze illegal hotels in Owerri

The Imo State Government has directed one of its ministries to fish out hotels that are not duly registered for instant demolition.

The affected hotels are set to be flushed out and their owners sanctioned.

Making this public while receiving an award of honour from the Imo State correspondents Chapel of the NUJ, Governor Rochas Okorocha said that his administration would not fold its hands and watch  people converting their residential houses to hotels.

Bulldozers have therefore been stationed to hack down such illegal hotels without further warning.
