The Anglican Students Fellowship has ended its Easter Zonal Leadership retreat during which a new leadership of the organization was elected into office.
The retreat with kicked off Thursday, February 27, ended on Sunday, March 2 at Holy Trinity (Ang) Church, Nekede.
Under the theme, Pressng Towards the Mark (Phil. 3:14), it featured praise and worship sessions, Bible studies, leadership training, among other activities.
Participants included Anglican students from the Imo State University (IMSU) Owerri, Federal University of Technology (FUTO) University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), AnambraState University (ANSU), Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, (UNIZIK) Abia State University, Uturu, Federal Polytechnic Nekede and other higher institutions in the East.
At the election of officers of the Eastern Zone, Ezeh Bethel of UNIZIK emerged President while Sis Charity also of UNIZIK was elected Vice President.
Others are Justice Okorafor (IMSU) Secretary, Blessing Ukatu (Fedpolynek) financial secretary, Chukwuma Edochie, Mission Secretary, and Sis Nancy of (ANSU) as Prayer/Bible study secretary.
Chaplain of the group for Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, Rev. Canon (Barr.) Ugochukwu Ekeocha, thanked the Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev. Dr. Caleb Maduoma, for donating N250,000 for the programme.
Others who supported the retreat wre the Bishop of Egbu, Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Okorafor who donated N100,000 and the Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Rev. Cyril Okorocha who gave N50,000.
Testimonies of instant healings and baptism of the holy spirit were given during the power night.
