Archbishop Okoro eulogises late priest By Victor-Clark Alisigwe

The Archbishop and Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Orlu, Most Rev. Bennett C.I. Okoro, Ph.D (JP) has described the late Ven. Michael Iheanyichukwu Ejizuwaka as good, calm and loyal.

At the funeral service in honour of the late retired priest who died at 67, the Archbishop said that he served God through humanity.

Popularly known as Apostolic Father, the late Ven. Ejizuwaka’s funeral service was held at the Cathedral Church of SS, Peter and John the Divine, Nkwerre, while another service was also held in his home church, St. Peter’s (Ang) Church, Eziama-Obaire.

Preaching at the service, Most Rev. Okoro admonished Christians to always pursue the truth, reminding them that life is only a gift as well as a loan borrowed from God.

He urged them to leave a good legacy.

The prelate regretted that some people abandon their parents only to hold expensive burials when they die.

In a condolence message, the Imo State Commissioner for Lands, Survey, Housing and Urban Development, Chief Uche Nwosu, described Ven. Ejizuwaka’s death as an irreparable loss but prayed God to grant him eternal rest.
