The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has advised the people of Imo State to unite in their efforts to accelerate development in the state.
Pastor Kumuyi, who gave the advice when he paid a courtesy visit to the State Governor, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, at Douglas House Owerri, emphasized the importance of unity in the bid to uplift the state.
According to him, no meaningful development can be recorded in the absence of peace and unity, he added: “This is not the time to pick holes, oppose and tear things apart”.

He prayed to God to bless the state and its leadership.
Responding, Governor Okorocha gave credit to churches which, he said, had helped immensely to lower the crime level in the nation.
He commended Pastor Kumuyi and other church leaders who have helped to stabilize government by reawakening hope, saying ‘if not for hope, there will be disaster.”
The governor stressed the need for government to support the church, noting that God has been merciful to has rescue mission programme as what his happened in the state in recent times in terms of transformation and development could best be described as miracle.
He appealed for the establishment of Deeper Life Schools at any level in the state to complement the efforts of the state in education.
