Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has embarked on a tour of the 27 local government areas in the state to ascertain the level of work on the projects in the local government areas.
During his visit to Ngor-Okpala, the governor said that the tour was also for him to know the problems of the people and proffer solutions to them.
Governor Okorocha who acknowledged the role the people of Ngor-Okpala played during the 2011general election said that his administration was determined to extend the dividends of democracy to them.
“The story of my victory as the governor of Imo State in 2011 elections cannot be completed without mentioning the people of Ngor-Okpala.
Ngor-Okpala people stood firm, remained focused on their choice for the right man despite all the intimidations by oppositions. My government owes you a lot of gratitude for the gesture”, he told the people.
Governor Okorocha, who said that his desire was to make Imo better, enumerated some of government projects in Ngor Okpala to include II Model Schools, one General Hospital, renovation of schools, 22 Schools built through MDG, 35.3km of roads, among others, noting that the projects will be completed before December 2014 while he promised more developmental projects in the area.
