The governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has enjoined Christians to hold tight to the word of God which, he said, is the truth, the life and the beginning of success.
Governor Okorocha gave the charge at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Imo State Province II, Mechanic village, Orji recently.
He said that success is not measured in money alone, adding that the word of God is wealth and power and whoever holds on to it will not go wrong.
Owelle, who regretted that some people chose to celebrate evil rather than good, charged everyone to be embedded in God’s word, and be concerned about God’s report rather man’s report about them.
He advised them to always make positive confessions as there is power in the spoken word and to worship God all the time and in all situations.
“If worshipping God is not a good business, I will not do it. The secret of life is in the mouth. If you want to make progress in life learn to confess positively and make us of “your knees” he said.
He said that the transformation in the state had been possible by the grace of God because he stayed put in the word of God “for me it is the word of God first.
He, therefore, enjoined the men of God and all the children of God to always pray for him and the State for peace and progress.
In his message, the Pastor incharge of the Province, Pastor Sam Ola Babalola, who preached on the them “God of Overflow advised the children of God not to fear, limit themselves or write off themselves as the Almighty God is ready to meet with all their needs.
He noted that what is needed to enjoy the God of “Overflow” is to surrender to him by being born again.
He enjoined Christians to identify with God, be obedient and live a life of worship and prayers to enable them enjoy the God of overflow as recorded in Ezekiel 34 verse 24 to end.
