Asugha rallies support for Gov Okorocha

The Special Assistant to the Imo state governor on Lagos/Southwest Liaison, Hon. Lisa Asugha-Enogha has called on Imo citizens in Lagos to support Governor Okorocha’s administration towards its determination to develop the State through first class infrastructure.

She made this appeal during the 2014 Lagos Carnival that held at Tafawa Balewa Square, where guests from all walks of life and youths gathered to watch with excitement as different groups and floats representing various areas participated in a colourful carnival procession amidst cheers and applause.

Hon. Asugha noted that the Rescue Mission government of Governor Okorocha had in the last three years initiated and delivered people-oriented programmes, which positively went a long way into reviving the confidence of the masses on government.

“Major concern of Governor Rochas Okorocha is to set a pace for the people of this State. He wants to alleviate poverty at all cost, whereby our people could have a better welfare for themselves. We have our challenges in delivering the task given to us by Imo people, but we are already rescuing and impacting their lives through people-oriented programmes.

“What this government needs is support, because we are right on point to that promise we made. Therefore, I urge all Imo citizens here in Lagos not to relent in supporting the governor, already they’ve been awesome. And we thank God that the governor is a focused leader, who would stop at nothing in delivering first class infrastructure back home in Imo State”, she said.

She however stressed that the governor has demonstrated its commitment to the mandate given to him by the people of the State by pursuing the construction, upgrade and rehabilitation, like roads, public buildings and institutions of government with a view to making them support human development.
