First Bank hands over renovated theatre to IMSU

The ultra modern Arts Theatre (Kumasi hall) of the Imo State University Owerri, renovated by First Bank of Nigeria PLC has been handed over to the authorities of the institution.

Speaking during the official handover ceremony, officials of the 1st Bank of Nigeria said that the bank is poised to contribute its quota towards the development of tertiary institutions in Nigeria. They said that students of higher institutions will do their best if they study under conducive environment.

Also speaking, the Vice Chancellor, Imo State University, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie, thanked the management of the First Bank of Nigeria for the kind gesture and prayed for divine grace to enable them render more services to humanity. He also thanked Mazi Clem Owunna, the institutions pro-chancellor for attracting such projects to the institution and enjoined others to emulate him.

The 500-capacity theatre complex is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment.
