The Eze-in-council, the executive and the entire people of Obazu Autonomous Community have expressed gratitude to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State over the rehabilitation of the Nkwo Orji-Obazu-Orie Mbieri Road which had remained impassable for years.

In a statement, the people described Owelle Okorocha as “action governor” who had come to their aid and rescue after many years of neglect by the previous administrations in the state.

The rehabilitation and construction of the more than six-kilometre road is expected to last three months, according to Mr. Okechukwu Osuji, the CEO of Simah Associates, the construction company working on it.

In a meeting recently with leadership of Obazu at the Palace of HRH, Eze Francis Elendu Agunwa, Mr. Osuji assured the people that he would do a good job on the road, adding that the contract covered drainages on both sides, earthwork and asphalting.

The meeting was presided over by High Chief F.C.E. Arisukwu, who stood in for the Eze of the community.
