St Paul’s Varsity Awka loses student

The people of Umunwaro, Umuhu Atta, in the Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State have been thrown into a state of grief following the sudden death of their son, Ordinand Onyekachi Ikemefule Nwanguma, a student-theologian. He died at the age of 29. Until his sudden demise, Ordinard Onyekachi was a post- graduate Diploma student of Paul University Awka, Anambra State, preparing for his ordination.

According to a release by his family and institution, the remains of the late Onyekachi would be buried on Tuesday May 27th , 2014 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Umuhu Atta, after a funeral service at

Ordinard Onyekachi I. Nwanguma had his First School Leaving Certificate at Community School Ikembara in Ikeduru LGA, and his Senior Secondary School at Atta Boys Secondary School, also in Ikeduru before proceeding to Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education for his higher studies.

He served as a mission facilitator in the Okigwe Anglican Diocese from where he gained admission into Paul’s University Awka, Anambra State for his theological education.

His death has been described as a rude shock to both his family, Christendom and former institutions.

Dignitaries expected during the funeral service include bishops, the clergy, theologians and others, including Bishop’s Emmanuel Maduwike of Ikeduru, Edward Osuegbu of Okigwe, Simon P. Mutum of Wuse Normadic Diocese Abuja and Very Rev. Prof. D.C. Okeke, Director of theological studies, Paul University Awka.
