A frontline politician and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief (Barr.) Humphrey Anumudu has declared that he has become a ‘born again’ politician.
He made the declaration after last Sunday’s service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Obazu Mbieri where he had gone to dedicate his 2015 governorship project to God.
Chief Anumudu emphasized the need to seek the grace of God in any venture, adding that any undertaking which sidelines God was bound to fail.
Describing his dedication as a supplication to God for his turbulent experience in politics since 1999 when he made forays into the venture. He recalled that as a foundation member of the PDP, he had not gained enough, comparable to his untiring efforts. He therefore called on the Almighty for His grace, and the people for their maximum support, assuring them of victory at the forthcoming elections in 2015.
On reflection, Chief Anumudu re-stated how he surrendered to Chief Udenwa from Orlu zone, who was on seat for eight years; he worked for Chief Ikedi Ohakim from Okigwe zone who took over from Udenwa.
It is now the turn of Owerri zone, he pointed out, and made a passionate appeal to the two politicians, who had benefited from the party, to help him sensitize their people for his support.
The occasion attracted politicians and PDP supporters across the state.
