Senator Hope Uzodinma, rumoured to be warming up for the Imo State Governorship race in 2015, says his priority at the moment is to rebuild Imo PDP.
Although he did not debunk the rumour making the rounds, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation, averred that his political interest at all times had never been shrouded in secrecy.
These are contained in a statement signed by the Director of Publicity, Senator Hope Uzodinma Campaign Organisation, Mr. Declan Mbadiwe Emelumba, who also cleared the air over “tendentious publications imputing that his efforts at rebuilding Imo PDP were aimed at furthering his governorship ambition”.
The Senator said he was aware that his detractors were spreading the rumour to weaken the resolve of genuine Imo PDP Stakeholders to remove Governor Rochas Okorocha from office through next year’s election.
He regretted that some desperate politicians instead of aiming at a cohesive and collective battle to wrest power from the opposition, were playing the ethnic card to distract Imo PDP from its goal.
