Archbishop condemns attempt to bomb church …In Owerri

The Archbishop of the Ecclesistical Province of Owerri and the Bishop of Ideato Diocese, Most Rev. (Dr.) Caleb A. Maduoma (JP) has condemned the attempt to bomb the Living Faith Church aka, Winners Chapel along Port Harcourt road, Owerri, Imo State recently.

In a release, the Clerical Synod Secretary of Ideato Diocese, Ven. C.S.O. Ukachukwu, stated that the Archbishop made the condemnation during his solidarity visit to the church on Monday, June, 16, 2014.

The prelate, according to the statement, was grateful to God for not allowing the enemies of the gospel to succeed, maintaining that, this is a clear conviction that God is with His people.

Dr. Maduoma, who is also the Chairman Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) South East and in Imo State, warned members of the Boko Haram to repent and seek redress, saying that any attempt on God’s people is an attempt on God and nobody can battle with the Lord.

He commended the actions of the Imo State government and the security personnel over the incident, and assured them of his constant prayers. Archbishop Maduoma urged Christians in Imo State and Nigeria and members of the Winners Chapel not to lose faith.

The prelate then called on the South Eastern to be security conscious by not allowing the insurgency in the North East to move down to the South East.
