Fifth anniversary of Ikeduru Diocese kicks of Wednesday

The 5th Anniversary celebration of Ikeduru Anglican Diocese kicks off on Wednesday, 16th July, 2014 with a prayer summit and Bible ministration, the theme of the event, “Thus far; how far?” (1 Sam. 7:12).

According to the chairman of the sub-committee on Publicity and Protocol, Ven. Josiah Emeribe, the occasion will feature other activities including free medical treatments, talk at the Cathedral, football competition among youths, dedication of completed projects, foundation-stone- laying and fund raising ceremony for the new Cathedral.

Others include the collation of new archdeacons and installation of new canons, Eucharistic service and cutting of anniversary cake.

Ven. Emeribe said that necessary arrangements have been concluded to make the occasion a huge success, as the Primate and Archbishop of Church of Nigeria, the Most Rev. Nicholas Okoh is expected to perform the foundation-laying ceremony.

Top government functionaries, traditional rulers and other dignitaries are expected to be in attendance.
