The national president of Fellowship of Christian Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (FECTRON), His Royal majesty Atuwatse II, the Olu of Warri, has listed the vision of the group as the transformation of African communities through the traditional rulers.
In his address at the fellowship’s 17th national, conference which ended in Owerri last week, the president who disclosed that the theme of the three-day conference was, “sustainable leadership” added also that the mission of the group is “to develop, and deploy the potentials of traditional rulers through mobilisation, training and spiritual intervention towards the transformation and sustainable development of African communities”.
The Olu of Warri reeled out biblical verses on which they modelled their activities and from which they drew inspiration.
Addressing the gathering, the chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Ruler, Eze Samuel Ohiri submitted that the essence of the yearly national prayers was to remind traditional rulers that God has called them to serve His people.
He noted that the programme had achieved tremendous impact on the spiritual and material well-being of traditional rulers across the country.
