Imo State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, has been hoisted as a model for politicians to emulate to attain higher political goals.
This lofty assessment was recently made by his boss, Governor Rochas Okorocha before some youths who paid him a solidarity visit at Government House Owerri.
Addressing the youths from Oguta under the auspices of Rochas Youth Alliance, the governor described his deputy as humane, humble, gentle and loyal who has been with him for years through thick and thin.
Delving into the history of their long intimate association, he recalled that when he lost election “everybody around me disappeared with the cars I gave them for campaign but he returned with his car and remained with me.”
In the words of Rochas, “Prince Madumere is my son in whom I am well pleased” adding that the deputy governor believed in God that one day “I Rochas Okorocha will make it in politics and today everything has materialized”.
The governor attributed Prince Madumere’s exalted position today as deputy governor to his sacrifice, faithfulness and patience.
But the governor frowned at some politicians who, he said, believed so much in primitive accumulation of wealth who would turn round to attack and criticize his government if their expectations were not met.
He then advised the youths to use the deputy governor as their role model and emulate his leadership and political life style to enable them become good ambassadors of the state and nation.
