The 2014 annual synod of the Anglican Diocese of Owerri kicks off next Thursday, October 2, 2014 at St. Andrew’s Church Aladinma, Owerri and ends on Sunday, October 5, 2014.
The theme of the 3rd session of the 19th Synod of the Diocese is “Leadership for the Salvation of a Nation…” and will attract over 2000 participants as priests, delegates and invitees.
Among the highlights are the formal opening of the event by the Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Rev. Cyril C. Okorocha, PhD on Friday, October 3, 2014.
On Saturday, October 4, 2014 the bishop will present his presidential address which will be preceded by its launching and going by past experiences, a session of intellectual and scholarly harvest is assured.
Then the climax comes on Saturday, October 5 when the synod will close with a thanksgiving service and launching for fund for the Bishop’s Foundation for Mission and Development (BFMD).
