After four days of exhaustive spirit-filled deliberations, the 3rd Session of the 19th Synod of the Anglican Diocese comes to a close today at the venue, St. Andrew’s Church, Aladinma with a thanksgiving service.
One of the highlights of the service is the launching for funds, for the Bishop’s Foundation for Mission and Development (BFMD).
The foundation is an innovative creation of the Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Rev. Cyril C. Okorocha, PhD to serve as an alternative source of funds, apart from the traditional
church funds, for the execution of diocesan projects and charity.
That is why favourable and enthusiastic response to the fund launch from all the people of God is worthwhile and highly recommended.
The theme of this year’s synod has been widely acclaimed as appropriate in view of the stark transpirations in Nigeria which only the collective prayers of Christians will attract God’s grace for solutions.
