His Grace, The Most Revd. Dr E.O.Chukwuma, OON, Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop of Enugu Diocese has advised Ven. Ginikanwa B. Ezeabii and other priests to always speak the truth as preachers and apostles.
He made the admonition in his sermon during the silver jubilee ordination thanksgiving service of Ven Ginikanwa Ezeabii (JP). Ven. Ezeabii is the Archdeacon Incharge of Achara Layout archdeaconry, Enugu. Quoting from 1st Timothy chapter 2 verse 7, the bishop said to Ven. Ezeabii, just like the Apostle Paul exhorted Timothy, God ordained you as a preacher to speak the truth at all times.
“It is only when you speak the truth as a preacher, that you are doing God’s will, speak what is in your mouth and not what you put in your mouth, that is what God wants and not preaching prosperity”. Your job is harvest of souls. If you harvest souls, you harvest your pockets. Speak as God directs you.
Testifying to the goodness of the Lord in his life, Ven Ezeabii who turned 57 this year, said that he had wanted to become a soldier but God who created him diverted him to be a soldier of Christ. He attended lay readers course and was licensed by the late Bishop Gideon Otubelu in 1983.
He attended Trinity Theological College Umuahia. He has diploma in Religious studies obtained from University of Calabar. He read religion at the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He was made a deacon in 1989 and a priest in 1990. He became a canon in 1999 and was collated an Archdeacon in 2006 by the Rt. Revd. E.O.Chukwuma, now the Most Revd. Dr .E.O. Chukwuma.
He is married to Mrs. Ijeoma Chimeruo Ginika Ezeabii (JP). He is blessed with six children two boys and four girls.
