The October 2014 prayer summit of the Women of Divine Destiny Initiative (WODDI) centered on the impending general election in 2015.
The prayer summit with the theme “Who told you,” took place at the Imo International Convention Centre (IICC) Owerri where the women prayed ernestly for a violence-free polls next year.
Addressing participants comprising women from the 27 local government areas of the state, the wife of the governor, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, noted that with God, Imo State would witness a free and fair election come 2015.
She said that the theme for the month’s summit was revealed to her by God and it was meant to motivate the women to pray without ceasing for an election free from ‘blood shed’.
According to her, the question “Who told you” as a theme, is meant to disabuse the people’s minds on the various declarations “from the pit of hell” that there won’t be free and fair elections in 2015.
“Who told you there would be bloodshed? Who told you there won’t be a free and fair election in 2015?”, she said, adding that even when they get negative vibration over the election, they should discard them as untrue.
“God is telling every woman to take control over her life. Let no voice other than God’s voice be heard in your lives.
“It is, therefore, in our lives to get in a righteous leader come 2015, not minding the party the individual might come from. If God says he will rule, he will rule”, Nneoma Okorocha, who is the initiator of the prayer summit, declared.
She challenged women to embrace God with the heart of Job.
The Guest Speaker at the summit, Pastor Mrs Ada Ezeka of Rhema Life Church, Owerri, reminded the women that God loves them and that they should neglect every other voice dissuading them to embrace God.
She glorified God for making the women of Imo fruitful through the first lady, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha.
