Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) officials in Imo State Chapter were recently hosted by Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha at the Government House Owerri.
Speaking during the occasion, the governor appreciated God’s unlimited grace and faithfulness to the state and his Rescue Mission.
Governor Okorocha commended the tireless efforts of Ministers of God in their prayers which he said have fostered the growth of the administration and the state.
He restated that he built the victory Chapel out of his spiritual conviction stressing that the essence was to have a good platform to worship God.
He further said that it was a solemn vow he made to God: If he took him to the Douglas House in 2011, he would build a house for Him. God granted his request and he fulfilled his vow.
The Owelle, solicited the partnership of religious leaders of the state to assist him in achieving his political ambition and urge their members to register with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) so as to be qualified to vote in the February general elections.
The governor promised to build a secretariat for CAN to enhance their efficiency in their service to God and humanity. He equally solicited partnership from CAN to and the government in training, counseling and orientation of hoodlums in the state.
Responding during the interactive session, the General Overseer of Overcomers Christian Church Owerri, Archbishop Alexander Ekewuba, commended the Governor, for his several developmental projects which he said, have transformed the state to an enviable height. In the same vein, he prayed for his success in the forth coming guber election.
