Iwuanyanwu decries Boko Haram

A   People’s   Democratic   Party (PDP) chieftain   in   Imo   State,   Chief   E.   C. Iwuanyanwu, has expressed concern over the disbelief and non-acceptance by Islam fundamentalists over Christian Leadership anywhere in the world.

Chief Iwuanyawu, made this remark when some members of the Interim Executive Committee of the Owerri Council of Knights of St. Christopher, led by its President, Sir Gab Oduah, paid him a courtesy call at his Orji-Owerri residence recently.

The PDP leader in the state, who noted that political campaigns are heating up here and there in the country, in spite of all acts of violence, terrorism, and insurgency, perpetrated by a group that called itself “Boko Haram,” described this seemingly Islamic religious sect as the biggest threat to humanity.

Chief Iwuanyawu, who is also a Knight of St Christopher Owerri, Council, used the opportunity to congratulate the new team of executives of the Order, now under the leadership of Sir Gab Oduah, and re-assured the Council of his continued full membership and regular support to the Council, describing knighthood as a veritable instrument for the propagation of the gospel of Christ and evangelical work in the Church of Christ.

Earlier, the President of the Council and Chairman of the Interim Executive Committee, Sir, Gab Oduah, said they were at Chief fwuanyawu’s residence, to inform him of the forthcoming Annual Chapter of the Council, taking place at the Cathedral Church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord (CATOL) Owerri, from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th February, 2015, as he is one of the key members of the council.
