Another private varsity for Imo

Imo State governor, Anayo Rochas Okorocha last week attended the Charismatic Renewal Ministeries (CRM) 2015 world congress held at the body’s Revival Village, Amakohia, Mgbirichi, Ohaji/Egbema local government.

The governor was informed by the General Overseer of CRM, Dr. Cosmas Ilechukwu of the intention of the church to establish a university in the state adding that a name for the university has already been approved by the National University Commission (NUC).

He added that NUC has asked the church to acquire 100 hectares of land for the final approval and appealed to the governor to assist them in land allocation and in terms of finance to achieve their goal.

Governor Okorocha assured the church of his government’s readiness to partner with the church in the university project as education remains the priority of his government.

In a spiritual mood, the governor urged Christians to stop operating on the level of faith alone but to start operationg at the level of sonship in order to gain limitless access to God.

Stressing on the need for people to trust absolutely in God, Okorocha said his achievements in governance including the free education scheme were due to his relationship with God.
