Bishop Emmanuel Maduwike of Ikeduru Anglican Diocese has described as foolish any leader that thinks he can do without God.
The Bishop was preaching recently at a church service held at the Chapel of the Healing Cross, Bishop’s Court, Atta Ikeduru, Imo State.
He urged political leaders in the country to always ask for wisdom from God to be able to differentiate between good and evil so as to rule with equity, justice and fear of God.
The prelate regretted that in Nigeria, while many people go to bed without food and workers and pensioners not paid, some leaders, including elected governors, stash away billions of dollars in foreign banks.
Pleading with such leaders to change their ways and reconcile with God, the bishop urged the leaders to learn from King Solomon of Israel who asked for wisdom from God instead of power to eliminate his enemies and eventually led his people to prosperity.
