Anglicans launchs university in Zimbabwe

The Anglican Church in Zimbabwe has launched its university in Marondera whose construction is set to begin next year.
The university, which is situated at Rufaro Farm, 5km to the North West of Marondera town will be offering programmes in general and public health.
Chairperson of the steering committee, Professor Christopher Mutambirwa said the university will help by addressing several health problems facing communities by training healthcare providers with specialist health skills .
Anglican Church Archbishop of the Province of Central Africa, Alfred Chama challenged members of the church to ensure that they contribute to the success of the project whose cost is projected at US$250 million.
Bishop of the Diocese of Harare, Right Reverend Bishop Chad Gandiya and Marondera Mayor Councillor Anthony Makwindi attended the ground breaking ceremony of the university which brings to four the number of universities in Marondera.
