From Emma Nwanekezi, Enugu
A massive re-construction work is on-going on Emmanuel Anglican Church, Achara Layout, Enugu.
In taking the decision for the gigantic project, the Archdeacon, Ven. Ginikanwa Ezeabii, members of the Parochial Church Committee (PCC) and all stakeholders, were influenced by the inadequate accommodation for the congregation and to update what is currently seen as the analogue infrastructure.
Contrary to expectations when the church was first established, the church has now grown in leaps and bounds hence it has become imperative to restore the glory of God by erecting a befitting edifice.
The rapid growth of the church has been attributed to the congregation’s total devotion to the worship of the Lord in Spirit and truth.
The Archdeacon of the Church Ven. Ginikanwa Ezeabii, in a statement on today’s Annual General Harvest, calls on members of Emmanuel Anglican Church, friends and well- wishers to “give volun tarily and in maturity” to the completion of the project.
He said the ambition of the church is to dedicate a worthy place of worshipping God in no distant time.
