It’s a blessing to host Synod -Bishop Okorocha

By Emma Onumah
The Anglican Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Rev. Cyril C. Okorocha Ph.D, has re-stated that, asking any archdeaconry in the Diocese to host the Diocesan Synod is a blessing unto the archdeaconry.
Bishop Okorocha gave the assurance while addressing the congregation of the Cathedral Church of the Transfiguration of our Lord (CATOL) Owerri, which have been declared as the 2016 hosts of the next Synod with the theme: “Building In Time for Eternity”.
He announced that plans were in top gear for the re-designing and installation of a revolving altar with golden rails in the Cathedral, and assured that action on this new innovation would be completed before the end of this year.
While urging all people of God, friends, and well-wishers in the Diocese, to help complete work in the Cathedral Building, the Prelate warned the Cathedral Building Implementation Team (CBIT) and the Cathedra! Authority, to be more careful with the type of labourers they engage and work in the Cathedral premises, as the days, he noted, are evil.
The man of God used the occasion to remind all Anglican faithful in the Diocese, that last Sunday was “All Saints’ Day” which, according to him was worthy of their giving thanks to God for what He has continued to do for mankind.
