The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Dr. (Mrs) Celestina U. Njoku, has advised the government to look towards vocational and technical education in finding the solution to the problem of unemployment playing the nation.
In her inaugural lecture which she delivered recently at the school’s auditorium at Nekede, near Owerri, Imo State.
Dr. Njoku described vocational and technical education as pivotal to the industrialization and economic advancement of any nation.
She, therefore, urged managers of education in the country to embark on a programme to highlight the values of business education which is an integral part of vocational education.
The rector, whose lecture was entitled advised youths to go into business education which makes them job creators rather than job seekers,.
