A total of 58 faithful and 15 men in Nkwerre Archdeaconry of the Anglican Diocese of Orlu, Imo State, were recently confirmed and inducted into the Christian Father’s Fellowship (CFF).
Performing the ceremony at St. Paul’s Church, Nkwerre, the Archbishop and Bishop of Orlu, Most Rev. B.C.I. Okoro, PhD urged parents to train their children in the fear of God.
He counseled Christians to be patient while soliciting for God’s favour as he deposed that complete trust in God is the answer to the conflicts and problems be-deviling Nigeria at the moment.
Archbishop Okoro highly commended the Archdeacon of Nkwerre, Ven. Uchenna Ahams, describing him as a workaholic, humble, obedient and trustworthy as he equally commended his wife, Mrs. Chika Ahams for her zealous motivations in the things of the Lord, more so the contribution of the women torwards the nearly completed church building.
In his sermon at the service, Rev. Oliver Nwosu of St Barnabas Church, Owerre Ebeiri Challenged the confirmed christians and inductees to henceforth live worthy Christian lives and counseled fathers who abandoned their families for worldly pursuits to desist.
In his vote of thanks, the Vicar of St Paul’s Church, Nkwerre, Ven Ahams advised the newly- confirmed to shun cultism, stealing, fornication, covetiousness, smoking and indecent dressing.
