Why we relocated Mechanic Village -SGI

The Imo State governments decision to relocate the mechanic village in Owerri to AVU, in Owerri West Local Government Area, is to transform all corners of the state and make the state a model of modern living.
Addressing members of the Nigerian Auto-Allied Technicians Association (NATA) in the state who called on him, the Secretary to the Government of Imo (SGI), Sir Jude Ejiogu, said that the government was committed to bringing together all professional technicians at the Avu Ultra-modern mechanic village.
He said that it would bring about a synergy amongst members and engender development.
Appealing for understanding, the SGI said that the government was still carrying out a sensitization of the affected persons to give them the opportunity to be included in the relocation process.
