Gun battle at Aladinma Estate … 2 dead as cultists clash

Rival cults, at the weekend, engaged themselves in a gun duel that lasted for more than two hours, at about 11 p.m, near Aladinma Housing Estate, Owerri, capital of Imo State.
Residents of the area held their breath all night until morning when, according to Mr. Johnson (other names withheld) who was an eye witness, two bodies were found on the streets near Methodist Church, Aladinma.
The dead were suspected to be students of the Imo State University (IMSU) who were promptly removed to the morgue by the police.
The police said that investigations were on to identify the bodies of the victims.
