PDP campaign funds: Udenwa quizzed, released

Former Imo State Governor and a stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Achike Udenwa was last week released by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after they had quizzed him.
Chief Udenwa  had been invited by the anti-graft agency for questioning for allegedly receiving N350 million in connection with the re-election of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 general election.
The sum was said to have been disbursed to him together with other leaders of PDP from N4 billion allegedly deposited in the account of the Director of Finance, Goddluck Jonathan Compaign Organisation, Senator Nenadi Usman.
However, a source in EFCC disclosed that the Imo former governor “co-operated fully with us”.
