By Victor Alison

A new Vicar was recently inducted and instituted for Nnenasa Parish as well as the Archdeacon of Njaba Archdeaconry by the Archbishop/Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Orlu, Most Rev. Bennet C.I. Okoro, PhD.
He is venerable Uchenna Tochukwu Ahams, JP.
In his charge, Most Rev. Okoro urged Ven. Ahams to be a dispenser of God’s holy word and his sacraments as a true servant of God.
The prelate further enjoined him to be worthy of his calling by being a faithful pastor, patient teacher, a wise counselor and also to be humble, modest, strong and constant as The Archbishop counseled him to perform his prophetic and priestly assignments according to the order of Christ Jesus.
Archbishop Okoro then hailed Ven. Ahams and his wife, Chika as worthy instruments in the Lord’s Vineyard and urged them not to relent.
Responding, Ven. Uchenna Ahams pledged to pay true and canonical obedience to the Diocesan and his successors in all things lawful and honest.
Archdeacon Ahams who is also the Chaplain, Council of Ezinna, Orlu Diocese confessed he had every reason to thank God as He visited them during the year at their points of need.
He urged his parishioners to love one another and make soul-winning and evangelism their top priority.
Present at the occasion included  the Archbishop’s wife, Nneoma Dora Okoro, Knights and Ladies of St. Christopher, Ezinnas, Archdeacons, priests and their wives as well as the Principal Chaplain and Special Assistant to the Archbishop and Archdeacon of Orsuihiteukwa, Ven Collins Ugbede.
