Archdeacon stresses need for genuine repentance … As Eze Ola is buried

By Adonis Amadi

The remains of the late Ezeola, HRH Eze Herbert Mehara Obichere (KSC) of Oforola have been laid to rest in his home town Umuneke Oforola in Owerri West LGA, Imo State.
In a sermon at the funeral service for the late traditional ruler at Christ’s (Ang) Church, Oforola, Ven Zion Ngoka, Vicar of Christ’s Church Owerri, explained the virtues of repentance and being born again.
According to him, genuine repentance does not mean going about without putting on earrings or head ties but is rather a spiritual thing.
He advised those who claim to be born again to show it by example, adding that one who is born again and is unable  to influence others positively cannot  be seen as effective.
The service was conducted by Ven Benjamin Nwaneri, Administrator of Avu Archdeaconry. The only lesson of the service, taken from Rom 13:8-14, was read by Mrs Uloma Opara (nee Obichere).
