Bishop Maduwike condemns land grabbing … As Ikeduru ACFF, AMF end joint conference

Bishop of Ikeduru, Rt Rev. Emmanuel Maduwike, has condemned the forceful acquisition of people’s lands by the authorities under the guise of state ownership only to convert them into private use eventually.
The bishop was addressing the first general conference of the Anglican Christian Fathers Fellowship (ACFF) and Anglican Men’s Fellowship (AMF) of the Diocese of Ikeduru which ended last Sunday with a special thanksgiving service at St. Peter’s (Ang) Church, Umuoziri, Inyishi in Ikeduru, Imo State.
Bishop Maduwike, JP, who spoke on the theme of the conference which was “Remove not the Ancient Landmark, which thy fathers set (Prov. 22:28) warned on the dangers of tampering with setup landmarks.
He said that the world is in  turmoil today because acceptable landmarks have been removed, explain that landmarks  are structures that demarcate boundaries for the purpose of peaceful co-existence and also to checkmate trespass on the right of inheritance.
According to the prelate, landmarks could also be monuments or memorials, such as buildings, heaps of stones or fences and walls to commemorate great events.
